ANSWER-the stereotype of women you can find in the 1950s and 1960s adverts is that there are only white middle aged women and they are all cooking or cleaning which shows that women are only used in the house and for women to be a good wife they have to do all the house chores.


4) What stereotypes of women can you find in the post-2000s adverts? Give specific examples.

ANSWER-the stereotypes in the 2000s have subverted a tiny bit because now men are starting to cook and do things around the house and do things that women were expected to do in the 1950s.

ANSWER-my findings suggest that representations of gender have changed over the last 50 years because now men are starting to subvert the stereotype that everyone in the 1950s thought would never happen.
