     because Instagram is a big company and it can help promoted  facebook which is also a big company.


2) What are the benefits for media companies of vertical integration?

   It benefits the media by facebook having the same idea as instagram but facebook takes over instagram.
3) What are the benefits for media companies of horizontal integration?

   Is that facebook is trying to expand the brand.

4) What is a subsidiary?

    Subsidary- is a small company.
